The Seniors’ Centre
Sedgewick has a very active Seniors’ Centre located at 4822 – 47 Street (Main Street) with a capacity of 100, two shuffle-boards, two floor curling lanes, a full kitchen, and a big screen TV. It is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday each week from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM for coffee and conversation. Come on by and join the conversation or contact the Seniors Centre at 780-384-3009.
The Sedgewick Seniors’ Centre hold weekly and monthly events, including floor curling tournaments, crib tournaments, and monthly birthday parties in addition to the weekly meet ups.
Floor Curling: Tuesdays & Thursday at 1:30 PM starting October until the end of March. (8 Team League)
Whist: Thursday at 7:30 PM alternating between Lougheed & Sedgewick until the end of April. For Bridge on Friday at 1:00 PM, contact Ed at 780-385-4234.
Every first Wednesday of the month is the Seniors’ Birthday Potluck lunch at 12:00 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend. Bring a potluck dish or a cash donation to the Club. The Seniors’ Club monthly meeting happens at 1:00 PM immediately following the potluck lunch.
